ABOUT HAYLEY GUGLIETTA
From community gardens to heritage assets, I’ve spent many years leading organisations in the central ward – building communities and delivering strategic outcomes that have made this a better place for everyone.
Most of those familiar with my name (which is pronounced goo-lee-et-ta) will recognise it from projects and events I’ve worked on, many will know that I’m a champion of the environment, fewer realise that I’m an experienced and successful business person as well.
I’ve been able to structure my telecommunications business to work well, enabling me to spend my time achieving a whole lot of good for our communities – that’s what I’m passionate about.
I am now standing for council because local government should be led by people who understand what’s happening on the ground, have financial nous, and are ready to roll up their sleeves.
This is my home, and I’m committed to making it thrive, for ALL of us.

I’ve spent years rolling up my sleeves in the community and contributing to big-picture decisions at the boardroom table. I understand how policy is experienced on the ground, and how it needs to be shaped so it makes the biggest difference.
Fiscal Responsibility
As a business owner with extensive experience managing funding, I know my way around balance sheets, I can read spreadsheets quickly, spot obvious critical issues and ask the right questions to make sure the council is using resources wisely. I believe in smart, strategic spending that delivers long-term value, investing when it counts and always keeping the future in mind.

I believe in empowering people to come togeather and work on projects that make a positive difference. From community gardens, to local events and council discussions, I’m always there, making things happen and turning ideas into outcomes.

I’m here to represent you, not party lines from Auckland or Wellington. I believe in looking at issues, researching practical solutions and making decisions that move our city forward. The current council is split into two teams – I will work with both sides. Who I work with, will depend on the issue at hand and what’s in the best interests of our city – that’s how real progress happens.
